Total credit granted by banking sector institutions in Oman rose 12.2 percent by the end of July 2026, reaching OMR38.3 billion. Central Bank of Oman data showed private-sector credit grew 11.5 percent to OMR31.1 billion over the same period.
Deposits also advanced, with total deposits reported around OMR37.3 billion. The private sector and individuals together continue to account for the bulk of credit balances, signalling steady financing demand across the domestic economy.
