Total cargo handled at Shinas Port in North Al Batinah Governorate reached 2,341,498 tonnes in the first half of 2026. Imports accounted for 2,322,695 tonnes, while exports stood at 18,802 tonnes of the overall handling volume.
Khater bin Ali Al Maamari, Chief Operating Officer at Shinas Port, said the port’s location helps connect Oman with global trade lanes and has strengthened its role as a hub for receiving and moving goods. Transshipment activity also rose, reinforcing Shinas as a logistics node for the northern coast.
